How We Manage Our Projects

We use the same approach for every project - no matter the scope, size or location. Because of our experience and diverse portfolio of past projects, we can successfully handle any project in any industry.

Our clients all have different needs for their construction projects, but our typical approach is shown below.

  • We listen carefully to our clients so we clearly understand their business, project concerns, building design needs, site requirements, building construction preferences, and favored architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and construction material suppliers. 
  • We dovetail our services with our clients' staff and the architects, engineers and contractors so we all work well together.
  • We recommend the best project delivery method to meet our clients' needs, i.e., Design Bid Build, Design Build, Construction Manager at Risk, General Contractor at Risk, or an alternate approach. 
  • We research and interview prospective design firms, contractors and suppliers so only well-qualified companies are invited to submit bids.
  • We develop a clear Scope of Work and Request For Proposals to get quotes from those design firms and contractors who can meet our clients' needs for quality, budget and schedule.
  • We actively look for ways to cut project costs and expedite the project schedule. 
  • We recommend the best firms for our clients to hire, negotiate contract language and financial terms with them and generate AIA contracts that protect our clients' best interests.
  • We review plans for design issues and inspect construction work for construction problems so errors or workmanship issues can be quickly addressed.
  • We conduct site visits and lead weekly Project Meetings to make sure the architects, engineers and contractors focus on critical path items, manage their workload properly and provide open, honest communications.
  • We issue detailed monthly Progress Reports to make sure our clients are up to date on their project progress, budget, change orders, cost, cash flow, schedule, critical issues and job site safety.
